Design story

A 3-car detached garage converted into a 600-square-foot, two-bedroom rental apartment. Traditional California indoor-outdoor living makes the space feel much larger than its size.

Our investor client in Eagle Rock owned a property with an existing 3-car detached garage — a rare opportunity for a spacious conversion. We designed a two-bedroom, one-bathroom layout that uses indoor-outdoor flow and thoughtful space planning to make 600 square feet live like something much larger. The result is a premium rental unit that generates real income from an underused structure.
