Design story

A 2-car detached garage converted into a modern pool house and multi-use space. Full kitchen for entertaining, full bathroom, and a large common area designed to serve as a rec room, home gym, or guest suite.

Our client in Pacific Palisades had a garage that had been previously converted without permits. They envisioned a modern space that could serve multiple functions — pool house, rec room for their teenage children, and home gym. We designed a studio ADU with a full-size kitchen for entertaining, a full bathroom, and a large open common area, all within the existing garage footprint.
